Centre Research Fellow

The Ashank Desai Centre for Leadership and Organisational Development (ADCLOD) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) invites applications for the position of Centre Research Fellow. The Centre focuses on high-quality, distinctive research on leadership, organisational development, and related fields in collaboration with academic institutions, government bodies, NGOs, and corporate organisations. It aims to contribute to leadership excellence across Indian and multinational organisations through research, training, and consulting.

• Tenure: Initially 2 years, with appraisal after the first year

• Mode: Full-time, campus-based

✅ Job Responsibilities

• Conduct original, high-quality research in the domain of leadership and organisational development.

• Conceptualize and design independent research projects aligned with the Centre’s vision.

• Publish research findings in reputed peer-reviewed academic journals.

• Present research at national and international conferences.

• Work under the guidance of IIMA faculty while demonstrating strong independent thinking and research capability.

• Support the Centre’s mission through academic contributions, research dissemination, and potential involvement in consulting or training-related activities.

This role is ideal for Post-PhD scholars who wish to build a strong academic research portfolio and contribute to impactful leadership research at a global level.

✅ Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

✔ Ph.D. in Leadership or closely related areas from a reputed university in India or abroad
✔ Ph.D. dissertation/thesis must be in the domain of leadership or closely aligned themes
✔ Publications in peer-reviewed journals are preferred
✔ Candidates who have defended their Ph.D. thesis are eligible to apply, but must submit:

• Proof of thesis defense at the time of application

• Final Ph.D. certificate at the time of joining

Candidates should possess strong academic writing skills, analytical ability, and the capacity to carry out independent research.

✅ Remuneration & Research Support

• The CRF will receive remuneration as per IIMA’s institutional policy, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

• Fellows will receive:
  ✔ Shared office space
  ✔ Library access
  ✔ Computing facilities including internet and email
  ✔ Funding support for data collection, fieldwork, research activities, and conference travel (as per institute policies)

Please note: The Institute will not provide campus accommodation.
